In one word: amazing. EmerginC Triple Threat Peel is quite possibly the best chemical facial exfoliant I have used in my entire life ... and that is really saying something. Having never tried anything from EmerginC before, I did not really have expectations for this product but I was hoping that Triple Threat Peel would work its magic on my dry skin. In a nutshell, my skin is normal with a combination of oiliness and dryness on the t-zone. I have so many tiny little blackheads over my nose and chin and these areas build up really quickly so if I do not exfoliate 3-4 times a week then my skin cries out for help. After removing my makeup and cleansing my skin one evening, using my fingertips I applied a thin layer of Triple Threat Peel as prescribed to my face, neck and decolletage and left it to work its magic. It is recommended to leave the product on skin for 2-3 minutes, however for an intense exfoliation, Triple Threat Peel can be left on for up to 7 minutes without irritation. I started out by leaving it on for around 3 minutes and then rinsed it off using facial wipes. The results after just one use were mind-blowing: using my fingertips and my nails, I gently massaged the skin's surface and dry skin balled up and rolled off with ease, leaving my skin feeling softer than I have experienced in a very long time. I particularly focused on the nose and chin area because these areas feel rough just about all the time and after using Triple Threat Peel my t-zone felt so clean and silky smooth, it was fantastic. I also have really dry hands and dry skin on my upper arms so I applied the formula to those areas and left that to work its magic and after just 5 minutes, the dry skin came off with the gentle aid of an exfoliator glove. Just like magic! In terms of application, around 3 pumps should sufficiently cover the face however if you do have problem areas like I do then I would use 4-5 pumps to give the skin a more concentrated dose and then leave it on for the desired length of time. Skin like mine builds up in a day or two regardless of which products I am using and it did so after using Triple Threat Peel but keeping this in my shower ensures that I can keep my problem skin at bay at all times. Recommended for weekly use, I would recommend using a physical exfoliant (with exfoliating granules) around the use of this product if required. The scent is quite unique - it smells like a scientific product if that makes sense, like it was made in a research lab. The ingredients smell strong and acidic but in a pleasant way. Triple Threat Peel contains fig extract which I can smell, as well as a cocktail of natural fruit acids, salicylic acid, Vitamin C, retinol and green tea. The pump applicator is so easy to use and does not squirt the product across the room like some pumps do. The glass bottle is luxe but I would personally prefer a plastic bottle in case I drop it because the liquid inside is gold and I would be devastated to waste it. EmerginC Triple Threat Peel is a luxurious and scientifically proven product which really packs a punch with proven results and while the price tag is a little more than I would like to pay, it is well worth it. Consider it to be an investment!
I have had acne for a long time and tried practically every face wash, cleanser etc I could find, but the EmerginC products are the only ones that actually help. The peel is great for drying out pimples quickly, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with acne prone skin, especially when it's on sale.
I tried this product after spending hours trolling the net for something similar to a glycol peel. It did initially work short term for me for clearing up medication-induced acne. However, after prolonged use its efficacy dissipated. I have since used the ASAP radiance serum which is awesome. It smells weird and strong and leaves your face with quite an orange tone, so probably dont want to hang out with visitors after applying. Worth a go, but wasnt a magic fix for me.
